Graduate Research Assistantship - currently available
The Insect Microbiology Lab is seeking a Ph.D. graduate assistant to investigate interactions between the Asian citrus psyllid and its microbial community in the Entomology and Nematology Department at the University of Florida. The position will be based at the Citrus Research and Education Center in Lake Alfred, FL, with the option to complete the first year of coursework on the main campus in Gainesville, FL. We are seeking a motivated student with a background in organismal and molecular biology. Completion of an M.S. degree in the area of microbiology or entomology with experience in molecular techniques is preferred. In addition, preference will be given to those who demonstrate experience and proficiency with scientific writing. The assistantship is available beginning in the summer or fall 2014 semesters.
